April was Autism Awareness month. In an effort to raise awareness and support our programs, JH/HS faculty and staff members wore blue each Wednesday during the month of April! 💙 #NOKOPROUD
First Grade held their Night at the Museum on April 29. The First Graders from Mrs. West and Mrs. Cruthis’s classes worked throughout the year to create many displays and artifacts to exhibit at the museum. The exhibits were integrated with First Grades Reading, Science, and Social Studies curriculums. The students walked around with their guests and showed off their hard work. They also had an opportunity to do a variety of hands-on activities and photo props were available to capture memories. The FFA also provided popcorn for their enjoyment. #NOKOPROUD
Congrats to Bond for making the Top 18 (out of over 500 submissions) in Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship’s National Pitch Competition! Bond’s 30-second pitch for his business, Knodle Aerial Solutions, stood out! #NOKOPROUD
Congratulations to the JH/HS CKH April/Perseverance Winners! Each month teachers/students nominate students and faculty that best demonstrate the CKH theme of the month. During the month of April, classes focused on Perseverance during their CKH Character Education lessons. Perseverance is the willingness and ability to keep going when things are tough. People who persevere show steadfastness and give the extra effort needed to do something, despite how hard it is or how long it takes to reach the goal. Congrats to Mrs. Doyen, Colin, Levi, Ahmsher, Blain, Trenton, Hunter, Zoe, Griffin, Austin, Kiley, Kadyn, Quincy, Kouper, Mrs. DeWerff, Kenadi, Isabella, and Mrs. Alsbury!
