The high school has been having a great homecoming week!!!!
We read The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds last week in art and then joined the National Dot Day celebration. Students created their own Name Dots filled with designs that represent them. The young artist in the story discovers her own creativity after being encouraged by her teacher. But the ending is just the beginning because she in turn inspires someone else. Students have been challenged to find small ways to make their mark in someone else’s life this week by helping, complimenting, or encouraging others outside their circles. #NOKOPROUD
Our 3rd graders showed their school spirit by decorating coffee sleeves for Honey Mugs Coffee Co. to help celebrate homecoming week! Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 16th be sure to grab a cup and look at their creative designs cheering on the Redskins! #NOKOPROUD
We know Mondays can be a little rough, so we brought in something sweet to kickstart the week! The Muffin Cart rolled through the halls of North Elementary School today! #NOKOPROUD

Congratulations to Addison Glenn for being selected to the All Tournament Team and Mackenzie Mehochko being named tournament MVP.
FFA members enjoyed their time at the LLCC Ag by participating in hands-on workshops on agronomy & soils, plant propagation, ag sales, drone demonstrations and had a chance to interact with LLCC Ag students! Thank you LLCC Agriculture for hosting!

In honor of Patriot Day, our 3rd grade Social Studies class explored the qualities that make someone a hero. Together, we created a chain link using meaningful words to recognize and celebrate those who show courage and sacrifice. #NOKOPROUD
8th Annual Montgomery County Volleyball Invitational Tournament "A Grace-Filled Tourney" starts off tonight in both gyms at Nokomis Jr/Sr High School at 4:45. The tournament will continue Saturday with games beginning at 12pm in both gyms. Admission for both days will be Adults $6, Seniors Citizens (62+) $4, Students/Children $3, and PreK and younger FREE.
