What an amazing evening! Our Carnival was a huge hit with over 130 kids joining in the fun! From face painting and balloon animals to exciting games and tasty snacks—there was something for everyone to enjoy. Thank you to all the families who came out, and a big shoutout to our incredible staff and volunteers who made it all possible. We are so grateful for our supportive community.

Mrs. Heldebrandt and Mrs. Johnston got their 3rd graders outside today after state testing for some Fun Science. The students hypothesized what would happen when Mentos candy was dropped into different varieties of soda. The class then watched the experiment and documented what occurred. #NOKOPROUD

As many of you know, the Illinois General Assembly is considering HB 1237, the elimination of certain mascots throughout the state, especially those pertaining to Native Americans. A new amendment has been filed to this bill, but it still does not meet all the criteria set forth by the opponents of the bill. Most importantly, it takes away local control from districts which is unnecessary.
The House Education Policy Committee is scheduled to meet tomorrow morning at 8:00 am to debate the bill.
