Juletta Ellis, Director of the South Central Illinois Regional Workforce Training & Innovation Center (SCI Center) in Litchfield, spoke with our sophomores today about exciting class opportunities for next year! Juletta will also be at the Nokomis Public Library today from 3:00–5:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for high school students and their families to stop by, ask questions, and learn more about fall 2026 and spring 2027 classes, as well as available scholarships.

Tisha Miller, LLCC Enrollment Coordinator, and Elizabeth Fines Workman, LLCC–Taylorville Director, met with NHS juniors today to discuss College Now opportunities. LLCC–Taylorville will host student/parent College Now information meetings on January 14 and February 5 for anyone interested in learning more.

Girls Basketball Cancelled for January 14th against Shelbyville

The Nokomis Education Foundation is hosting its annual Pork Chop Dinner on January 16. This is their only fundraiser for the year. Tickets must be purchaed by Friday, January 9 in the Unit Office or contact an FFA member.

The Nokomis Boys' Frosh/Soph game in Shelbyville tonight is cancelled!
Mr. Fesser's Intro to Ag class spent time making wooden snowmen during the shop unit this quarter. Each student gets to take their snowman home to use as a holiday decoration! ⛄️





The Nokomis Boys' Basketball 🏀 team will play in Litchfield tonight with the JV game starting at 5pm, followed by the varsity game!
Mrs Huddlestun's Title class read and learned about holidays around the world for 3 weeks. It was a fun learning experience. #NOKOPROUD

Mrs. Carlock's Intro to Ag and Ag Mechanics students practiced some basic woodworking and tool skills by building Christmas trees to take home just in time for the holidays!

3rd grade used their building skills to make a house and a Christmas tree with gumdrops and toothpicks during STEM activities! They worked together and cheered each other on to kick off the last day before break. #NOKOPROUD
