Maybe it was a teacher who believed in you, a coach who pushed you, or a staff member who made you feel seen and supported. Chances are, you still remember them today.
This year, we’re inviting our community to help us celebrate the amazing staff at Nokomis Junior/Senior High School by sponsoring our Raise the Bar Cart as a part of our school wide theme.
For $75–$100, you can sponsor a month in honor or memory of an educator who made a difference in your life. We’ll share their name and story with our staff as we deliver a cart of treats and appreciation.
It’s a simple way to honor someone who made an impact on you while celebrating the people making that same kind of impact on our students today.
Today the faculty and staff at Nokomis Junior/Senior High were celebrated as we "Popped" in to thank them for making week one great with a Popcorn and Soda "pop" Bar. This cart was sponsored by Pam Myers in honor of a special educator from Nokomis, the late Maxine Tosetti.

NHS will be hosting our annual Cancer Awareness Football Game (aka Pink Game) on Friday Sept 4 vs Sullivan. Shirts can be ordered at https://nokomisfbcancer.itemorder.com/ through Sun Aug 30 and will be here in time for the game! Proceeds will go to MCCA. NHS will also have thundersticks and memorials for purchase at the game.

Today, Nokomis CUSD #22 welcomed our staff back for the start of the 2026–2027 school year! It was wonderful to have everyone back together as we prepare for another great year with our students.
A huge THANK YOU to Triple-T Treats and everyone who sponsored cookie flights for our staff! 🍪 Your generosity made our opening day a little sweeter, and we are so grateful for the support our community continues to show our schools and staff.
We also want to extend a very special thank you to Nokomis Christian Missions for generously donating a $25 Amazon gift card to every teacher to help purchase items for their classrooms. What an incredible way to support our educators and, in turn, our students! ❤️

On July 12th, our FFA chapter participated in the Sinkin’ With Lincoln Cardboard Boat Regatta at Hillsboro Lake.
This was the Imagine Hillsboro Cardboard Boat Regatta’s 8th year, and the participants had to make a seaworthy boat made out of cardboard and duct tape and put it to the test in the regatta. Our boat may have not went the furthest, but our members had a great time supporting a great cause! 🔵🟡
Thank you to Dominic Hammond, Braydon Cachera, and Fausto Centeno for making the boat, and thank you to Avry West and Ilexia Doyen for being the crew members!
