IHSA Music Solo & Ensemble on Saturday resulted in 3 firsts and 3 seconds from our very talented group of students who attended. Congratulations! #NOKOPROUD

3rd in the state!!! 🥉 Congratulations to the poultry team for placing 3rd overall in the state! They have spent many hours preparing, and their hard work paid off today! Fausto Centeno- 3rd individually out the entire state! Kalasandra Cook- 14th individually out the entire state! Congratulations also to Griffin Engelman, Hunter Casterline, and Dominic Hammond for also competing and helping the team place third overall! Well done! 🔵🟡🥚🍗🐔

We had a great time celebrating Read Across America week at North Elementary School this week. A special thanks to Mrs. Marley for making several guest appearances this week and Mrs. Huddlestun for all the fun activities planned. #NOKOPROUD

Yesterday was a great night for Nokomis FFA at District 4 Proficiency Awards! We had NINE members win in their areas that will be advancing to state!!! Grace King- District 4 STAR in Agri-Science Fausto Centeno- Nursery Operations Levi German- Turf Grass Management Izaak Doyen- SOE Public Services Andrew Suslee- SOE Arts and Communications Kennley Kirk- SOE Health Sciences Alauna Patton- Agri-science Integrated Systems Abigail Centeno- Discovery STAR in Agri-Science Parker Morrison- Discovery STAR in Ag Placement Congratulations also to Kinley Stolte (2nd), Hunter Casterline, Fallon Knodle (2nd), Ryan German, Reese Goodin, Dylan Yeske (2nd), and Walker Stewart! Walker was also a finalist for STAR in Ag Placement! These FFA members have devoted so much time towards their record book projects. Well done everyone, and thank you to everyone who helped prepare them for districts and our judges tonight. Good luck to the students advancing to state!! 🔵🟡🏆

NHS thanks everyone who donated blood yesterday! We had 30 donations collected and potentially 90 lives saved! Good job Nokomis!!!

The March Madness Book Bracket is up. 5th grade students will be completing activities in reading and voting for their favorite books this month. Which book will earn the title Book of the Year? #NOKOPROUD

Students purchased items in the Stamp Out Cancer store every Friday during the month of February. Today we were able to give Mrs. O’Malley and Team Rally with O'Malley $770 that was raised through those purchases. Way to go North School. #NOKOPROUD

Wednesday is the day! If you are not signed up for the blood drive, we are able to take community walk-ins during the day. Community members need to enter through the southeast doors of the new gym. It is that time... PreK Screening! #NOKOPROUD

Ms. Moreland and Miss. Gracie’s Pre-K class has been talking about different animals that can be pets. Last week they observed different birds outside and comparing outside birds and pet birds. They made homemade bird food for the birds outside! #NOKOPROUD

We had a great FFA week! Thank you to the officers for planning a great week, to other FFA members and students for helping with events, and to the school staff for being flexible with us and participating! This Week in Nokomis Athletics

Saturday was ICTM Math Regional Competition and NHS showed up!! Jager - 2nd place geometry. Geometry team was 2nd place: Jager Johnson, Colby Reitz, Jordyn Marley, and Keegan Kettelkamp. Jager and Blair were 1st place fresh/soph team and state qualified!!
