Congratulations to NHS senior Fausto Centeno, who has been selected as this year’s DAR Good Citizens Award winner!
Each year, NHS teachers nominate three seniors who they feel best represent the qualities of a DAR Good Citizen. The senior class then votes to select one of those three students as the NHS DAR Award winner.
The DAR Good Citizens Award recognizes students who demonstrate dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism through their commitment to their family, school, community, and country.

What a night to be a Nokomis Redskin! Our Redskins capped off an incredible Homecoming week with a 20–14 VICTORY!
Friday night was filled with so many of the things that make our school and community special—Homecoming banners, our Homecoming Court, FFA pork burgers, a 50/50 supporting the North School PTC, a packed crowd, school spirit, and REDSKIN PRIDE!

WHAT A DAY TO BE AN NHS REDSKIN! 🖤❤️
Mrs. Pacelli, Mr. Riley, and our staff just want to say THANK YOU to our students for making today SO MUCH FUN! 🙌
We’ve talked all year about “Raising the Bar Together,” and this week our students showed us exactly what that can look like — work hard, make good choices, show respect…and have A LOT of fun along the way! ❤️🖤
Homecoming looked a little different this year with some new activities, new traditions, and plenty of opportunities to have fun. Our students rose to the occasion! Their positive behavior and willingness to meet high expectations gave us the opportunity to say YES to more fun, and we LOVE being able to do that! 👏
Good things happen when you do good things! Keep showing up, keep having fun, keep making us proud, and KEEP RAISING THE BAR, NHS!
We are incredibly proud of you! ❤️
Just a few highlights from an AWESOME day before we head into the big game tonight! 📸🏈
LET’S GO REDSKINS!! ❤️🖤🏈
