Today, our 2026 Redskins Football season came to an end on the field at Carlyle in the first round of playoffs. And while I know this isn’t how our players or coaches wanted their season to end, I hope they know just how incredibly proud I am of them. As I shared with Coach Engelman and the players last week, this team has truly been the definition of resilience. This season wasn’t easy. Not even close. Every time it seemed like this team had faced enough challenges, another one came their way. But here’s what I hope our players understand… Not once did you stop. You kept showing up. You kept fighting. You kept believing in each other. With every hit this team took, you shifted, you adjusted, and you found a way to keep moving forward. And THAT says so much about who you are. I hope every player and every coach who was part of this 2026 Redskins Football team takes a moment to recognize what they accomplished this season. Not just the wins or the plays or the moments, or numbers on the scoreboard, but the strength it took to keep going when things weren’t going your way. As your principal, I get to see our students in so many different settings. And I can tell you that some of the proudest moments I have aren’t always when we win. Sometimes they’re when I watch our kids face something difficult, refuse to give up, and show the kind of character that will carry them far beyond our school walls. That’s what I saw in this team. Over and over again. I know today hurts. I know you wanted more. But I hope, when you look back on this season, you see what I see, a group of young men and a young lady and coaches who refused to let adversity define them. To Coach Engelman, our coaching staff, and every single player, thank you. Thank you for your heart, your fight, and for giving our community so many reasons to be proud. You may not have ended this season the way you hoped, but you have absolutely earned respect and admiration. And I hope you are as proud of yourselves as I am of you. Once a Redskin, Always a Redskin! — Mrs. Pacelli

We are excited to announce another round of Top Photographers! Each week brings more creativity and talent forward! Keep doing great things! #NOKOPROUD #RaisingtheBarTogether

On Friday of the 99th National FFA Convention and Expo, Leni took part in a tour of the exclusive behind scenes of the convention. She also saw views of the press box and learned more about the opportunities of FFA Reporter in the USA! 🔵🟡

Three Star Chapter! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Nokomis FFA Chapter was recognized on stage today at the 99th National FFA Convention and Expo as a three star chapter! This is the highest ranking at the national level, and less than 10% of the chapters from Illinois received this honor. Our chapter events like Wreaths Across America, the Anti Drug Presentation, and the Ag in the Classroom activities go towards our National Chapter Award application. Congratulations to all Nokomis FFA members for this award! 🔵🟡⭐️⭐️⭐️
