NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON A WAIVER APPLICATION CONCERNING THE LIMITATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS, NOKOMIS CUSD #22, MONTGOMERY, CHRISTIAN, & FAYETTE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of Nokomis CUSD #22, Montgomery, Christian, & Fayette Counties, Illinois, will conduct a public hearing pursuant to Section 2-3.25g of the School Code on Tuesday, November 17, 2026 at 6:55 p.m., at Nokomis Jr/Sr High School (JH Library), 511 Oberle Street, Nokomis, IL 62075.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive public testimony and comment concerning the intent of the Board of Education to submit an application to the Illinois State Board of Education requesting a waiver of the limitation on administrative costs imposed by Section 17-1.5 of the School Code, which provides that a school district shall not increase its aggregate administrative expenditures for any school year by more than five percent (5%) over the aggregate administrative expenditures of the preceding school year, as calculated from those functions designated as administrative expenditures under that Section.
