RECAP:

The Lady Redskins played with unbelievable grit and determination last night to pull out a 44-35 victory over Carrollton to win the Greenfield Regional Championship last night!!  It is the first girls Regional Championship in 25 years. Despite falling behind 11-4 after the first quarter, the girls never gave up and battled back to outscore Carrollton in every quarter the rest of the game.  Alivia Sabol, Kinley Stolte and Carsyn Bertolino battled against a very big Carrollton team to outrebound them 31-22. Liv led the way with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Kinley scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Carsyn had 4 points which included two baskets at crucial points in the game. The guards handled the ball and pressured the Carrollton guards the entire game. Hannah Tarter led the way with 11 points, including 4 big free throws to put the game away. Camryn Engelman scored 6 points and had 4 steals on defense. Kalasandra Cook had 6 points including two huge three pointers in the third quarter to give the Lady Redskins the lead. Cloey Dirks and Brooklyn Marley did a great job maintaining the defensive pressure and making the right decisions throughout.

The Lady Redskins record is now 24-7 and they advance to the Bunker Hill Sectional next Tuesday, Feb. 24th at 7:30 pm.
