  • WOW! What a game and what a day! We could not have had a better 1st annual Strike Out Cancer game with Stamp Out Cancer/MCCA and Team UM-BElievable! Other than the wind but the rain held off! The NHS Lady Redskins beat the Ramsey Rams 13-3 in today’s game.

#9 Reaghan Jonas had another strong performance on the mound and at the plate. Jonas struck out 12 and walked 0. In the bottom of the first, Jonas helped herself out and had a two-run homer to get the Lady Redskins back on top after Ramsey scored 1 in the top of the first. Jonas went 2 for 2, drew 2 walks, scored 4 times, and had 3 RBI’s!

#23 Lizzy Hill was behind the plate helping Jonas out. Hill also had a day at the plate going 2 for 3 and also drew herself a walk.

The team had 15 hits total on the day. #00 Presley Mehochko, #2 Cloey Dirks, #4 Grace DeWerff, #5 Camryn Engelman, #8 Maddison DeWerff, #9 Reaghan Jonas, and #23 Lizzy Hill all collected two hits each. #20 Ella Huelson also had a sacrifice fly scoring in a run in the bottom of the second inning. #8 Maddison DeWerff had the walk-off hit to score #7 Jayde Gonet in the bottom of the sixth to get the team’s 3rd win!

Special shoutout to #2 Cloey Dirks! Dirks, batting clean up, had her first homerun of her high school career today! Dirks went 2 for 4 with 3 RBI’s.
