Last night the Redskins walked it off on a backside gap shot by Levi German, which scored Jonas to win 5-4. The inning started by Yeske drawing a walk. K-bird came into the game to run for Yeske. Blain sac-bunted him over to second base. Jonas drove him in with a base hit to right field. Eisy singled, moving Jonas into scoring position. Keller reached on an error to load the bases. Levi picked up his teammates with a well placed base hit into the right center gap to win it. The Redskins managed 12 hits on the evening, even though it didn't seem like it at the time. Herby led the team with 3 singles. Levi and Jonas had 2 singles as well. Doyen, Eisy, Gary, Keller, and Drake all chipped in a single each. Keller had two stolen bases in the evening.
Levi started the game on the mound throwing 4 innings of scoreless baseball. He allowed 3 hits, 2 walks, and had 4 strikeouts. Blain came into relief in the 5th inning and struggled to throw strikes, unfortunately. His stat line was 2 runs, 1 earned on 0 hits, 3 walks, and 0 strikeouts. Doyen picked up his teammate allowing 0 runs on 0 hits, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work. Drake came into the game to close out the 7th. He did his job getting us ground balls, but unfortunately we didn't make the plays behind him. Drake gave up 2 runs, 0 earned on 2 hits, 1 walk, and 1 strikeout. Even though the save was blown, he picked up the win as the Redskins rallied back in the bottom of the 7th to improve to 15-12 on the season.
