IHSA 1A Volleyball Regional at Nokomis Jr/Sr High School begins Monday, October 27th with Centralia (Christ Our Rock Lutheran) (8) vs Ramsey (9) at 6pm. The Lady Redskins will play their first game on Wednesday, October 29th at 6pm vs the winner of Monday's game. Let's go Lady Redskins! 🏐🔴⚫#NOKOPROUD

The FFA officers put together another great activity! They organized an 8th grade FFA meeting to discuss FFA events and CDEs in an engaging way. Thank you to the officers and all the 8th graders who came to participate! 🔵🟡

It was another busy day for Nokomis FFA! With Red Ribbon Week and Anti-Bullying Week coming up, the FFA officers and other members put together an anti drug presentation for 6th graders and an anti bullying workshop for students in the After School Program. The younger students enjoyed participating in the healthy and positive activities. 🔵🟡

Congratulations to the Quizbowl team for placing 1st overall in Section 19! 🏆 They went undefeated on the night and won on a sudden death question in the championship. Well done! Team members included Jack Province Micah Barker, Colby Stewart, Layne Parker, Kolton Cachera, Jordyn Marley, and Ethan Marley 🔵🟡

Today, Mrs. DeWerff took juniors and seniors interested in becoming teachers to Millikin University for the Tomorrow’s Teachers Conference! Students enjoyed hands-on, behind-the-scenes experiences and learned more about the field of education.

This past week Mrs. Cruthis and Mrs. West and their 1st grade students worked hard to create a shelter to send as a part of the Fifth Street Renaissance fundraiser, Camp Out 4 Homeless Veterans this past Saturday in Springfield. This event is a way to bring awareness to an organization that helps provide 20 amazing programs designed to keep people housed, safe and back on their feet. Great Job North Elementary for showing your support of our Veterans across the land! #NOKOPROUD
