Next Wednesday, April 15th, Freshmen and Sophomores will be taking the PreACT, while Juniors will sit for the ACT, as required by the state. Please make sure to attend, as participation is mandatory. Seniors will have the day for college visits or job shadowing. To ensure you're fully prepared, students are encouraged to get a good night's sleep and enjoy a healthy breakfast before the test.

Mrs. Snow and her Kindergarten friends were excited to participate in the Montgomery County Ag in the Classroom Chick Hatching Program. They have been incubating the eggs for 21 days learning about chick development and journaling their progress. The students got to watch 9 chicks hatch and are having a blast observing chick behavior and watching them change and grow already! #NOKOPROUD

Sam Anthony Lucania—TEDx speaker, 5-star author, personal trainer, overdose survivor, and recovery advocate—spoke with our junior high and high school students this morning about mental fitness and the importance of being proactive in building positive mental health strategies.

Nokomis FFA members had a great day at Ag Legislative Day in the State Capitol Building!
They joined hundreds of FFA members from around the state to deliver goodie baskets to legislators and discuss the benefits of Ag Ed and FFA!

What a great time at State Awards Day! We had nine Nokomis FFA members compete with their SAE recordbook projects at the state level.

🟡Andrew Suslee - state runner-up in SOE Arts and Communications
🔵Abigail Centeno - state runner-up in Discovery STAR in Agriscience
Congratulations also goes to Levi German, Kennley Kirk, Fausto Centeno, Alauna Patton, and Parker Morrison for being in the top 5 in the state for their areas!
Last but not least, Grace King interviewed in the area of STAR Agriscience and will hear results on stage at this year’s state convention in June!
To compete at state is a huge achievement for these members who have put in numerous hours towards their projects. Congratulations again to all!!
