The PTC will be raffling off a variety of fun baskets, generously put together by each class, at the North Elementary Spring Concert tomorrow night! They’ll be set up in the hallway before both concerts, so be sure to stop by and check them out. Winners will be drawn after the final program in the new gym—and you do not need to be present to win!

Students in Mr. Fesser's Co Op class and other seniors toured LLCC this week and were given advice on some options after high school. Thank you to Sarah Beggs for organizing the tours and giving great advice! The students toured and were given information on the college enrollment process, the Ag programs, nursing programs, emergency medical programs, and all programs at the LLCC Workforce Center. It was a great day!

Montgomery CEO students held a Mock Trade Show for our 8th grade students Tuesday morning! Students enjoyed learning about CEO and the individual businesses! The actual Trade Show will be held on May 5th from 4-7pm at the Hillsboro Lion's Club.



LEVI GERMAN SELECTED AS A 2026 ILLINOIS FFA OFFICER CANDIDATE
Levi German was selected as a 2026 candidate for the 2026 - 2027 Illinois FFA Major State Officer Team. Levi is a member of the Nokomis FFA Chapter of the Illinois Association FFA. Levi is the son of Jared German and Jodi German from Nokomis. Mason Fesser and Marissa Carlock are the agriculture teachers and FFA Advisors at Nokomis High School.
Levi was selected by a committee of agriculture industry friends, media and collegiate leaders, past state FFA officers and current FFA members. The candidates completed a rigorous series of practicums, including a virtual round consisting of a writing exercise, a prepared speech, and a test on Illinois agricultural education and FFA, as well as an in-person round held at Lincoln Land Community College on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The in-person round included a general interview, an impromptu scenario, a facilitation exercise, and a group activity.
Earning this distinction of being named one of the ten candidates now makes Levi eligible to be elected one of the six Illinois FFA Major State Officer positions of President, Vice-President, Reporter, Secretary, Treasurer, or Sentinel at the 98th Annual Illinois FFA State Convention on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Bank of Springfield Center in Springfield, IL beginning at 7:30 a.m.

It was a great night for Nokomis FFA at the Section 19 FFA Banquet!
Congratulations to Fausto Centeno for being named the Section 19 Vice President! Levi German also delivered his retiring address and was honored for serving as the section president for the past year. Braydon Cachera also ran as a candidate for Section 19 office and did an outstanding job representing our chapter. Our members were also recognized for numerous awards throughout the year.
